Shyamatara, Green Tara

Richly bejewelled and crowned, Green Tara sits in a majestic posture upon an exquisitely worked and beaded double lotus throne. Her right hand displays the gesture of generosity and rests on her right knee. Originally, she held a lotus in her left hand (a trace is still visible). The hand is raised in the gesture of teaching, showing her to be a helpful instructor on the righteous path.
