Ceremonial Dagger Featuring the God of Death

Ceremonial daggers like this one – called phurba in Tibet – are powerful instruments for clearing away obstacles on the path to awakening. They can be used in exorcisms, for example, or for stabbing demons in mid-air. The hilt of this dagger features the face of the god of death, topped by the head of a buddha.
